Today, at Badger Boys State, the energy was running high as the citizens elected a new governor. Seen here is Anthony Mensah, the 2014 Badger Boys State governor, as he is sworn in by Justice Ann Walsh-Bradley.

Those who were not running for a state-level office had free time in the morning and people spent it doing a variety of activities. Some people listened to stories from staff members about their experiences as citizens, socializing with fellow citizens, playing sports and others. Here, a group of citizens bond through an energetic game of volleyball.

Governor Scott Walker arrived today to speak at the inaugural ceremony. This is the fourth time in many years that the governor himself has arrived to speak instead of the lieutenant governor. Here, Governor Walker takes time to speak with and take selfies with citizens before the ceremony.

At the inaugural ceremony tonight, the citizens elected to the state-level positions were sworn in by Ann Walsh-Bradley, a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Pictured here are many of the citizens who were sworn into their respective offices today. They include the BBS Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Superintendant of Public Instruction, and Justices of Supreme Court. Also pictured are the Commander of the American Legion Department of Wisconsin and BBS counsler Ben Hanes.
