The third day of Badger Boys State began with the first day of Schools of Instruction. In these sessions, the citizens learn about topics ranging from current environmental issues to how to improve public speaking skills. Each citizen picks one of two tracks and then two courses from that track. They will then attend these classes through out the week. Here, the citizens are listening to Counselor Mark teaching them about public speaking.

Here, students learn what type of leader they are in Counselor Gary William’s School of Leadership Skills.

Before lunch, citizens had their first election of the week, voting for city-level positions. The citizens seated are a part of the election board for their respective city and are responsible for making sure that the election runs according to plan. They’re also responsible for tallying all of the ballots once the election is over.

After lunch, the citizens got some more free time to play some of their favorite sports. These citizens are enjoying a game of Spikeball.
