The citizens kicked off today with the state convention, where they heard from speeches from each person on the ballet for a state-level position.

They then headed straight to the their polling locations to cast their votes!

After being locked inside for a couple of days because of the rain, the citizens finally got some time to enjoy the nice weather.

Since the weather was questionable yesterday evening for a bit, we pushed our state picture until today. Here, students get in formation as we build the state of Wisconsin out of nearly 1,000 Badger Boys State citizens and staff!

At the inaugural ceremony tonight, the citizens elected to the state-level positions were sworn in by Ann Walsh-Bradley, a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. They include the BBS Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Justices of Supreme Court. Pictured here is Kellen Sharp, the 2017 Badger Boys State governor, as he’s sworn in by Justice Bradley.
