Citizens started another round of Schools of Instruction this morning. Pictured here are citizens attending the Leadership School, run by Counselor Gary.
Citizens spent part of the morning listening to speeches for the state election. They then headed straight to the their polling locations to cast their votes! (See state election results)
At the inaugural ceremony tonight, the citizens elected to the state-level positions were sworn in by Ann Walsh-Bradley, a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. They include the BBS Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Justices of Supreme Court. Pictured here is Jacob Malinowski, the 2015 Badger Boys State governor, as he’s sworn in by Justice Bradley.
Governor Scott Walker arrived today to speak at the inaugural ceremony. This is the fifth time in many years that the governor himself has arrived to speak instead of the lieutenant governor.
