The fourth day of Badger Boys State began the second round of schools on instruction. It’s a great time for citizens to take a deep dive into topics that interest them and also ones that will help them with the positions to which they’ve been elected.
Later in the morning, citizens had the opportunity to attend a few different special discussion sessions. Topics included life as a college athlete, news publishing, information on the national debt, and others.
The citizens had another election today, this time voting on county-level positions. As they run for more positions and hear more speeches from their peers, the citizens are gaining more sense on what makes a good campaign speech and what qualifications are needed for every position.
After dinner, the citizens broke up by party (nationalists and federalists) for the state party convention. At the convention, the parties developed their platforms and the candidates for state offices all gave a speech.
