The second day of Badger Boys State began with the option of three religious services or a non-religious-based discussion about ethics, which the citizens could attend if they chose not to attend a religious service.

Before lunch, the citizens broke up to have a city party caucus, which is a selection process for whom will run for city positions. They wasted no time starting to campaign for their respective positions.

In the afternoon, citizens could either participate in sports, special discussions, or other recreational activities. Here, Counselor Gary facilitates a discussion on what it means to be a leader leading other leaders. His discussion weaved together current events with stories from his speech last night to make for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.

Plenty of citizens burned off energy playing a variety of sports, including softball, volleyball, and football.

At tonight’s assembly, Patrick Braatz, assistant director of elections, talked to the citizens about the value and integrity of their vote during elections. American Legion National Commander Dale Barnett addressed the citizens and talked about how his Boys State experienced impacted his life.
